History
Lightheart belts were designed by a physical therapy worker. They have been "field tested" in nursing homes, hospitals, and in-home care. They are made of woven polypropylene plastic and the fibers do not absorb fluids. They are easy to clean with a spray disinfectant or can be machine washed like a lift sling. The roller buckles are fast and easy to adjust and do not loosen on the patient.
Why are these belts different?
Lightheart belts are like a real belt. The roller buckles are fast and easy to adjust. They do not loosen on your patient. Standard belts are 54 inches long and fit around 70 percent of patients. Long belts are 66 inches long. Both are 2 inches wide and do not roll up in your hand like a cotton belt. Pictured is a bariatric belt that is 2 1/2 inches wide and 80 inches long next to a standard belt.
